Kavarna is a small port town with a broad outlet on the Black Sea to the Eastern and Southern sides. It lies 64 km northeast of Varna and 49 km from Dobrich. The town is  famous for its ecological clean area with preserved marvellous nature and beautiful sea coast. It is a resort with perfect conditions for enjoyable and relaxing summer vacation and for hunting tourism in the autumn.

There is a yacht port nearby as well as several golf courses including the one designed by the legendary Mr. Gary Player. The landmark Cape Kaliakra is located a few kilometers to the east, as is the tony beachfront resort of Rusalka.

Kavarna is also known as the new Bulgarian Mecca of the rock music as more than 20 world-famous rock bands have already played here. Nazareth, Deep Purple, Scorpions as well as Manowar, Whitesnake, Ronie James Dio, Motorhead, Lube, Twisted Sisters, Super Max, Billy Idol and Fillip Kirkorov are only a few of them.
